Antique Longcase Clock

£1,750.00

A super attractive eight day longcase clock from the Geoge the 3rd period. The case is predominently solid oak with rich mahogany crossbanding throughout. The canted corners to the waist are reeded with brass capitals whilst the base has it’s original ogee bracket feet. The hood has similar brass capitals to the turned supports with a nice barley twist middle section. To it’s uppermost you will find a wonderful fretted swan neck pediment with original turned finials. The square painted dial is signed by J.N Kent – Manchester and is decorated with flowers, foliage and exotic Asiatic pheasants. The penny moon is inset just below 12 o’clock and has the most amazing moon phases. This clock is way above average in every respect and is still ticking away beautifully with striking on the hour.
