Fresh from a full 7 days in our workshops, a complete restoration which includes the re-backing of the tambour. This rare walnut, Edwardian roll top desk is ready for the next 100 years. Why rare? Well we have had and seen a great many roll top desks in our 60 + years in the trade, but never one with serpentine fronted pedestals. A high quality and expensive desk the day it was made. All the drawers lock when the tambour is down, the interior has an assortment of drawers and pigeon holes. The tooled leather top is a new replacement. The whole piece has been repolished but still retains it’s character of 100+ years. This desk breaks down into three main pieces and will go through almost any doorway.

We probably hold the largest selection of top quality, fully restored Roll Top Desks in the Country. We only deal in the best as the cost of restoration is significant enough it wouldn't be viable to work on a poor quality one. These are not a clean and wax job but a full nut and bolt restoration.

On it's own at least a full day with our restorers, and you need to know what you are doing.
11. Assess the condition of the French polish whether revitalise the original or fully strip and polish 95%
11A. On average all desks spend approximately one week in our workshops receiving professional care.
12. Not part of the restoration program but, we also personally delivery 95% of all the roll top desks that we sell (UK mainland) and set them up in your desired location. In most cases a two man job by people experienced doing so.
