Edwardian Secretaire Bookcase

A fine quality and imposing solid oak secretaire bookcase by the cabinet makers AUDAS & LEGGOTT OF PARAGON ST HULL. At 115 inches tall including the crested arch topped pediment flanked by carved lions, this is of monumental proportions. The gadrooned cornice sits above a pair of astragal, bevelled glass edge doors giving way to a fully fitted secretaire interior with four drawers and numerous pigeon holes, inset with a pair of pen slides. The fall still retains it’s original tooled leather top, which gives way to three drawers and three cupboards to the base, all with superb crisply carved panels. All the handles are authentic and all the locks are working with keys. Given it’s age it is in super condition with only minor chips to the mid sides. Cleaned and wax polished, ready to use and enjoy. Breaks into three sections for transportation.
