A truly magnificent golden oak roll top desk acquired from a stately home property in Scotland. Of exceptionally large proportions and absolutely top of the range in quality as you would expect of titled landed gentry.. The fully fitted interior comes complete with original slide out writing companion and mass of drawers and compartments. When the roll is down, all the side pedestal drawers automatically lock. Polished to all sides, this desk can be used off the wall just as easily as against. Due to it’s large size and extra additions like it’s sliding ink and pen tray and small locking cupboard and we would expect that the whole desk was a bespoke commission as suited to it’s surroundings. Considering it was made in the Edwardian period it’s condition is superb, with working locks and keys present.
