17th Century Oak Carving

A wonderful mid 17th Century oak wall mounted carving depicting a winged female with crisply carved details to the locks of hair and defined body muscles. Most likely from an ecclesiastical source and in remarkably good condition right down to all facial features in super undamaged condition. Rather dry when we purchased it but with just one soak in wax polish it as already revealed a super patina. A rare piece of early oak decoration.
